Peter Heimer designed with BUCHHOLZBERLIN the German headquarters of an international IT start-up company.
The aim of the design was to restructure an 80s office floor by creating a large central communal area offering various zones for communication.
All coloured wall surfaces are billboards.
They are used daily as displays for internal group meetings. The wall panels consist of specially coated steel plates that can be labelled and attached magnetically.
Their colours are borrowed from the company logo and, inspired by the colour field painting of the painter Ellsworth Kelly, arranged as a system of colour sequences.
A modular system of parallelogram tables made of regional oak allows for countless meeting variations.
Glass-walled, round rooms for small meetings and phone calls offer soundproof retreats with visual contact to the outside world.
A round sofa for relaxing and a round kitchen counter for communal cooking are suspended from two concrete support columns.
